Full Release (1.5.0)


Hello Station Captains!

Today we’re releasing the full version of Progress Station, our new incremental sci-fi browser game.

Working on this game together has been a lot of fun! We had many creative discussions and ideas and also got new people on board, adding their own expertise and features. There is so much more we would love to include but since we all have full time jobs, there is a limit to what we can do.

Thank you for playing, for your reactions, comments and support along the way. Please let us know what you think, give us a rating and report any issues you might find. Over the next few days, we will focus on fixing bugs and issues that might come up. We also want to spend more time polishing the mobile versions before taking a break for the rest of the year.

Check out the full list of changes below.

Balance & Progression

  • Reworked Heat and Damage mechanic
    • Damage from battles or locations now directly reduces your Population
    • While not engaged in a battle and while below your previous max Population, Growth is increased dramatically
    • Military directly increases your damage in battles but does not counteract Danger anymore
    • Loss of population does not reduce your damage in currently engaged battles
  • Reworked battle rewards
    • Rewards for battles are now paid out partially per defeated wave instead of all at once at the end.
  • NEW Boss Shield
    • If your damage would instantly destroy a Boss wave, the Boss now deploys a shield you have to fight through. While the shield is active, the Boss damage aura is also disabled* NEW Unlockable Technologies
    • In the new Technologies tab, the Analysis Core produces Data using your Research. Data can be spent to unlock 32 different modules, operations, locations and more
  • NEW Dynamic soundtrack and sound effects by Lenard Knopp-Stockfisch
    • Custom soundtrack that dynamically matches your progress speed
    • A banger boss battle music
    • Custom sound effects for station actions and warnings
  • NEW Run Statistics Screen
    • Add the end of a run, after being defeated by the Boss, you will see an overview of your progress during the run
  • NEW Added “Biotech Dome” module containing Agriculture and The Lab
    • Agriculture produces food for your crew and increases your population. In The Lab, research happens, allowing access to new Technologies.

QoL, General Improvements & other changes

  • When starting a new run, your station name will be incremented by one
  • Renamed “max Level” to “Mastery”
  • Renamed Rescue Capsule to Jump Starter
  • Renamed ISASM to Rescue Capsule
  • Renamed Captain’s Quarters to Command Center
  • Renamed Tiny Toolbox to Captain’s Focus
  • Added and updated flavor texts throughout the game
