mhh one reset and I beat the game? somehow not choosing a galactic secret did let me lvl up skills for something like 8k cycles till I figured something is wrong and I picked one. short after the boss came some cycles later to get his ass kicked
Really nice little game, although I do wish you could collapse some of the 1.1x military multipliers to just "defeated enemies", and I'd like an Energy gain stat. I will also note that I beat it on my second run, only unravelling three secrets, so late game balance might be worth changing!
I beat on my 2nd run....with no secrets...the boss only lasted 1 tick....key is to focus on killing the enemies asap to get to the high multiplayer zones and base stats.
I'd love to have an option to summon that boss earlier as I became utterly unbeatable (at the first half of the duration after the first ascension) and it was only waiting from then on.
The balance seems off as you beat the last 20 enemy waves within a few seconds when the multipliers start to hit in and you got like a billion population and 200T military.
Bug: Under "Settings", the option to turn off Progress Bar particle effects does not actually turn off the particle effects. My guess is that is what's contributing to other user's complaints of freezing and/or sluggish response.
Suggestions: I enjoyed the structure and strategy very much, but it may require more balancing or additional bosses. I was able to beat it in roughly 4 reincarnations, and when the time finally came to fight the Boss it was an instakill. Perhaps an option (via Research) to seek out the Boss if the player feels ready would be a nice feature.
Also, Research feels like its usefulness runs out almost immediately. Perhaps adding specific Research Topics that grant fractional multiplier bonuses and/or ultimately a lump Power Grid slot might flesh it out more.
I'm on my second loop and I seem to be stuck. There are no battles left to fight (I've cleared 120 of them) and no sense of when the *spoilery* event starting the third loop will happen..
EDIT: Okay, I think the underlying progression math might be going wrong somewhere. The boss showed up at 15,000C since last encounter, by which time I was at 37 grid units, 48M population, 184T military power and had won every battle. And I destroyed it in about 10 seconds. I had only purchased a single galactic secret.

After loop 1, I went right with energy and my stats just exploded.
Battles became almost instant. There's nothing for me to do as I'm just waiting for the boss.
I'm at 12000 CI with 2B Population, and 3.83T Military. This is fine if I can just skip to the boss.
Otherwise, I really appreciate a sequel to Progress Knight, it's pretty well done.

Yes, we wanted to do that as well! Will bringt it up with the team that this is rather annoying to players.

In the top right corner, there should be a space between the number and the unit "IC" for the two date indicators.
"Date: 123,456IC" should be "Date: 123,456 IC"
"Since Last Encounter: 7,890IC" should be "Since Last Encounter: 7,890 IC"
Good point, will add to our backlog.

All in all, great work!
Thank you for the feedback, we highly appreciate it!
The latest patch at least addresses the performance/particle concerns. We will have to see when we find the time to improve other parts of the game.
game has compeletly frozen no matter how many times i refresh nothing progreses anymnore
Was addressed in the latest patch!
nope my game is still frozen
Cool but need option to disable levelup effect completely... It's totally kill performance at web version.

48M population indeed sounds way too high 😅😅 We will investigate, thanks for the feedback!
I have the same problem, with a population of 600M.
600M pop, over 30T power, sitting at 6700 IC
2nd run... (No secrets yet)
you might have done something with firefox compatibility, but waterfox is also built off of it
We haven’t addressed yet the Firefox on Linux issues that seem to exist.
What problems are you facing in Waterfox? And do you mind sharing your Waterfox version + operating system?
game starts to run very slowly
Was addressed in the latest patch!
The Mechano Maker in the Quarters Module is an additive bonus not a multiplicative bonus as it (probably) should be.
Then you would gain no growth in the early game as it’s base is 0. The growth multipliers are unlocked with later modules.
The Quarters Module is a later module
you cant close the settings menu once you open it
Thank you for the comment!
“Settings” are just another tab - you can click the “Modules” again to continue playing. The game continues in the mean time though.
We will consider changing this behavior to a more traditional behavior as this might be confusing.
This has been changed now, see https://kringel-games.itch.io/progress-station/devlog/725012/update-101
How should we start? There are only planets and nothing clickable.
Firefox.
Thanks for reporting, we were developing on Chrome most of the time. But we will investigate what the bug on Firefox is!
This seems to work in the latest Firefox (123.0.1) on Windows.
Could you maybe sent us your https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/?
With the exception of IP ^_^
